Our client is a stable and growing mid-sized company on Whidbey Island in search of an Accounting Manager. Working with a CFO and managing a mid-sized team, this person will focus on leading and developing their team while contributing to GL Accounting, financial reporting, budgeting and more.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing monthly reconciling of GL accounts, close and preparing financial statements.
- Leading and managing the annual capital budgeting process and preparing monthly budget variance analyses and financial reports for management review.
- Own the work order process and assist project managers with estimates of completion.
- Other Accounting duties include; maintaining fixed assets, cash management, processing payroll.
- Assisting with the annual audit process.
- Developing, implementing, and updating accounting policies and procedures to reflect best practices and regulatory changes as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting and/ or finance .
- Minimum eight years’ diverse accounting experience, with at least four years in a supervisory role.
- Proficiency in advanced ERP/accounting platforms, such as Microsoft Dynamics, Sage Intacct, or similar.
- Microsoft Excel (experience with pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis).
