Foreman~Mowing

Job Summary:

The Foreman maximizes productivity, profitability and customer satisfaction by ensuring the safety, efficiency and quality in all projects. The Foreman ensures that all work conforms to Company policy, as well as all relevant OSHA regulations and any other safety requirements.  Proficiency in all forms of lawncare and maintenance as well as the multitude of service offerings ensures expert oversight. 

Essential Functions:

•    Operate & maintain commercial zero turn mowers, weed eaters, and blowers for lawn mowing operations.
•    Safely Operate a truck and trailer throughout various locations/terrain.
•    Efficiently supervise lawn crew to complete daily tasks to high quality standards
•    Planting may be necessary, mulching, trimming, weeding for general maintenance.
•    Raking, shoveling, and sweeping materials.
•    Operate equipment & power tools safely and efficiently.
•    Clean and organize all equipment and power tools.
•    Conduct groundskeeping tasks to upkeep the appearance of outdoor areas.
•    Assist in the bidding process for projects by having a full understanding of the scope of work.
•    Plan, coordinate and supervise all on-site functions of service projects. This includes project safety, scheduling, engineering and material control.
•    May authorize and / or approve all project personnel transactions, purchase requisitions and field design changes requests.
•    Provide technical assistance, recommending methods and equipment as required. 
•    Ensure all onsite personnel comply with project procedures, safety program requirements, work rules etc. 
•    Document any violations of project and safety requirements, notifying management immediately. 
•    Interfacing with client representatives and other contractors as required.
•    Work together with management to communicate production goals and quality specifications of work, discuss issues that have surfaced and recommend ideas to help team achieve project goals. 
 

Competencies or Experience Requirements
•    3 -5 years lawn care supervisory experience preferred.
•    Class A CDL with tanker endorsement preferred. 
•    Excellent negotiating skills. 
•    Skilled in planning, organizing and supervising. 
•    Strong organizational skills
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•    Excellent problem-solving skills
•    Ability to work in a team environment

Education Requirements
High School diploma or general education degree (GED)

Safety
Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Manual of Safety Practices and Procedures.

Travel
Travel to job sites is required as needed.
