About The Youth Complex
The Youth Complex is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering youth, particularly those from underserved communities, by providing mentorship, leadership development, and educational support. Our programs aim to help young people build confidence, resilience, and the skills they need to succeed in their personal, academic, and professional lives. Through a strong focus on one-on-one mentorship, recreational advising, and community engagement, we support youth in realizing their full potential.
Position Summary
The Youth Mentor will provide guidance, support, and mentorship to youth participants in our programs. Mentors will be matched with individual youth, offering consistent support and helping them set and achieve personal, academic, and career goals. The mentor’s role is to foster a positive and trusting relationship, provide encouragement, and guide youth in their personal and professional development. This is a volunteer position, with hours and responsibilities varying depending on the volunteer's prearranged commitment and needs of the mentee and the program schedule.
The ideal candidate is passionate about youth development, enjoys working with young people, and is committed to helping them reach their full potential. This role requires a strong communicator, a problem solver, and someone who can be a consistent and positive presence in the life of a young person.

I further acknowledge that while this is a volunteer position, The Youth Complex may offer certain volunteer benefits as a token of appreciation. These benefits are not wages or compensation and do not create an employment relationship.
I understand that participation in the volunteer program is at will, and either party may end the volunteer relationship at any time, with or without cause or notice. I also understand that I am still subject to a complete onboarding process including background checks and reference checks.
