Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, reporting changes, and maintaining accurate documentation
- Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs while maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area
- Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts to ensure safe transfers and mobility assistance
- Engage residents in social activities and provide companionship to promote mental well-being
- Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing routine cleaning tasks and adhering to infection control protocols
Requirements
- Valid first aid certification; CPR certification is highly preferred
- Successful completion of a 1st Step TB test prior to the virtual interview process
- Experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health settings is desirable
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and care planning processes
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and assist residents with mobility challenges using proper techniques and equipment
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and residents' families
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support individuals with disabilities, dementia, Alzheimer's, or autism
