About the Role
The HR Generalist will serve as a trusted partner to the Head of HR —managing day-to-day HR operations while building the structure and processes needed to support a growing organization. This person will lead recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and compliance, ensuring a positive and productive workplace that reflects our brand values.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with department heads to understand hiring needs and lead full-cycle recruitment across corporate, creative, and warehouse teams.
- Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a seamless and engaging employee experience.
- Maintain and update HR policies, employee handbook, and compliance with all state and federal regulations.
- Handle employee relations matters with professionalism, confidentiality, and empathy.
- Oversee performance review cycles and support leadership in goal-setting and development plans.
- Manage benefits administration, payroll coordination, and leave tracking.
- Drive HR initiatives focused on retention, engagement, and culture-building.
- Partner with leadership to identify opportunities for organizational growth and efficiency.
Qualifications
- 5 years of HR experience, preferably in fashion, retail, or a fast-paced consumer brand.
- Strong knowledge of California labor laws and HR compliance.
- Proven success managing recruitment, employee relations, and HR operations.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (PHR/SPHR certification a plus).
