SUMMARY
The Data and Compliance Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of data within the organization. This role involves managing data collection, storage, and analysis processes while adhering to regulatory requirements and company policies. The Data and Compliance Coordinator will work closely with various departments to implement data governance strategies, conduct audits, and provide training on compliance standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Analyze, interpret, and apply federal and state laws and regulations, CT DOL policies and procedures and The WorkPlace policies and procedures while conducting all aspects of program monitoring.
- Review The WorkPlace service provider contracts and prior monitoring reports to identify areas of concern.
- Create, implement, and update the annual monitoring schedule.
- Track the monitoring process of all contracted providers to ensure adherence to TWP monitoring procedures and timeframes.
- Draft monitoring notices, reports and memos.
- Arrange for monitoring visits with contracted providers in accordance with the annual schedule.
- Conduct program site visits to interview contracted provider staff and customers and observe program activities to collect information regarding contract compliance.
- Conduct participant worksite visits to ensure compliance with contract provisions and state and federal workplace health and safety regulations.
- Conduct file reviews of program paper files at the contracted providers? site.
- Conduct file reviews of program digital files through The WorkPlace and CT Department of Labor databases.
- Maintain and organize The WorkPlace?s centralized monitoring files.
- Interface with The WorkPlace program staff regarding contracted providers? past and current compliance and follow-through on corrective action plans.
- Follow up with contractors to verify that all corrective action has been implemented.
- Assist with the coordination of fiscal monitoring.
- Oversee data management processes to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with departments to ensure data integrity and compliance.
- Provide training and support on data compliance and best practices.
- Monitor and report on compliance issues and data-related risks.
- Other duties may be assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for own work and not normally required to direct or supervise other personnel. However, may occasionally show another employee how to perform the work.

- Experience with data management software and tools.
- Knowledge of Federal and state regulations and laws, including the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, 2 CFR
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor?s degree or a minimum of two years of related experience. Experience in making written and oral presentations and reports. Experience with contract or data compliance is preferred. Experience in the workforce development system is preferred. Experience with CTHires and CaseWorthy data systems is preferred.
COMPUTER SKILLS
The ability to understand and display Expert Proficiency in software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and data management systems.
REASONING ABILITY
The ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. The ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as policy and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of individuals.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and frequent deadlines. Attention to detail is required. Ability to multitask. Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) knowledge or experience preferred.
