Job Description: Erickson’s Flooring & Supply seeks an experienced Branch Manager to lead our Chicago-area branch in Addison, IL. The Branch Manager will oversee sales, customer service, warehouse, and delivery operations for the branch, building strong customer relationships and driving consistent, profitable growth. The right candidate will have 5 years of sales experience, 2 years of warehouse management experience, and a hands-on leadership style. This is a hands-on leadership role in a close-knit branch with a Customer Service Representative and a Driver/Warehouse team member, supported by three Account Managers who call on branch customers throughout its delivery area. Candidates living within a 45-minute drive of Addison are preferred.

Responsibilities: The candidate will:

• Oversee all sales and customer service activity for the branch, building relationships with customers at all levels to deliver consistent and profitable growth
  

  
  

• Acquire new business through referrals, networking, and self-initiated prospecting
  

  
  

• Partner with the Account Managers who serve branch customers to support sales growth and customer service
  

• Assist walk-in customers with product pickup and product selection
  

  
  

• Support Customer Service in handling inbound phone and email inquiries
  

  
  

• Manage warehouse and delivery operations, ensuring all scheduled deliveries ship accurately and on time
  

  
  

• Maintain inventory accuracy through effective receiving, stocking, and cycle count practices
  

  
  

• Keep the branch clean, organized, well-maintained, and secure
  

  
  

• Recruit, select, onboard, and train branch employees with the support of the corporate team
  

  
  

• Coach, counsel, and develop staff, and address performance issues with the support of the corporate team
  

  
  

• Implement company policies and procedures and model the values, culture, technical expertise, and level of customer service that drive the company’s growth
  

  
  
  

Requirements: The candidate must:

• Hold a high school diploma or equivalent; a college degree is a plus
  

  
  

• Have 5 years of sales experience, preferably in the flooring, building products, or wholesale distribution industry
  

  
  

• Have 2 years of warehouse management experience
  

  
  

• Be able to operate a forklift
  

  
  

• Be able to regularly lift 20 to 80 pounds
  

  
  

• Have a valid state-issued driver’s license and reliable transportation
  

  
  

• Demonstrate strong leadership, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills
  

  
  

• Have a strong customer focus and be dependable and self-motivated
  

  
  

• Have computer proficiency in Microsoft Office
  

  
  

• Experience serving flooring contractors, installers, or dealers is preferred
  

  
  

• Knowledge of hardwood flooring, sand and finish products, or inventory management systems is a plus
