What are the responsibilities and job description for the Athletic Trainer position at The Woodstock Academy?
The successful candidate will:
- Promote 21st century educational excellence through the vigorous support of the mission and goals of The Woodstock Academy; and
- Facilitate individual, departmental and school excellence through the support of high-quality personnel, reinforcement of best instructional practices, encouragement of a culture of collaboration and a focus on learning.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree, BOC certification, and CT licensed OR eligible;
- Master's Degree preferred;
- 3-5 years’ experience in secondary schools preferred;
- Maintain current certification in Healthcare Provider BLS;
- Experience actively coordinating care between interdisciplinary healthcare providers;
- Experience with Impact/Sway testing, sideline concussion testing, concussion management and education;
- Experience using SportsWare or other injury tracking software
- Practice parameters set forth by The National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) and will follow both the Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics as set forth by the NATA;
- Demonstrated excellence in human relations and organization skills;
- Strong work ethic and a flexible schedule;
- Positive attitude, integrity, and collaboration skills; and
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
