The Woodleigh of Baton Rouge, located in the heart of Baton Rouge and just minutes from Denham Springs, is now accepting applications for an RN to serve as RN Supervisor every other weekend (8-Hour Shifts). The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and direct the functions and activities of the nursing staff to deliver exceptional resident care. Weekend – Every other Saturday and Sunday; 8 Hour Shifts; Flexible Scheduling
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: As the Weekend RN you will:
- Supervise and accept responsibility for entire operation of the facility during absence of administrative staff
- Adjust staffing to meet needs and to provide adequate coverage of unit
- Provide direct resident care when needed
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully when personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the public
- Must possess the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures, etc., that are necessary for providing quality care
- Must be able to relate information concerning a resident's condition
- Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in long-term care required
- A minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience as an RN preferred
- Graduate of a state accredited school of nursing with current RN license in the state of Louisiana
