Part-time position, working 20 hours per week.
Monday through Friday, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Summary of Duties: Under direct supervision of the Neighborhood Services Manager, assist external customers (e.g. residents, patrons, registrants) and internal customers (e.g. employees) with requests for service either by phone, computer or in-person.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
General Duties:
- Assist external and internal customers with requests for service by either phone, computer, or in-person.
- Respond to routine inquires, answer incoming telephone calls, determine purpose of callers, and forward calls to appropriate personnel, department, or agency.
- Greet and assist visitors and/or direct to appropriate area or person.
- Handle caller requests for service/resolve issues.
- Provide departmental information via phone, email, and in-person.
- Schedule and coordinate calendar for activities. Notify patrons of activity schedules, cancellations and registration requirements.
- Computer and organizational skills to assist with maintaining service request and work orders utilizing the company’s software Tyler.
- Process phone calls and/or email requests for streetlights and report to appropriate entity (Entergy/CenterPoint).
- Recommend and process facility reservations (pavilions, pools, daycare/group visitation), for residents, vendors, employees, and outside agencies/organizations (schools, churches, misc. associations, etc.) using the company’s ActiveNet registration/reservation software system.
- Process payments and track, receive, and return deposits for facility reservations. Prepare cash receipts and deposits.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
Experience: One (1) year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Must possess or obtain within first ninety (90) days of employment a valid Texas driver's license and meet the driver safety policy requirements.
Computer Skills: Computer proficiency in MS Office required. Preferred but not required experience with ActiveNet and/or Accela (database programs).
