Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, goals, and event requirements, translating ideas into actionable plans.
- Develop comprehensive event plans including timelines, budgets, vendor negotiations, and logistics coordination.
- Source and negotiate contracts with venues, caterers, decorators, entertainment providers, and other vendors to secure the best value and quality.
- Oversee all aspects of event marketing and promotion to maximize attendance and engagement.
- Manage event setup and breakdown, ensuring all elements such as catering, audiovisuals, decorations, and seating arrangements are executed seamlessly.
- Provide exceptional guest services by addressing inquiries promptly and ensuring a positive experience for all attendees.
- Monitor budgets diligently, track expenses, and implement upselling strategies to enhance revenue opportunities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in event planning or management within hospitality, hotel, restaurant, or banquet environments.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable contracts and vendor agreements.
- Excellent marketing knowledge to promote events effectively across various channels.
- Skilled in upselling techniques to increase event revenue through additional services or upgrades.
