Position Overview
The Wilson Companies is seeking a skilled and dependable Plumbing Installer to join our growing team in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The ideal candidate will have experience installing residential plumbing systems and equipment while delivering exceptional workmanship and customer service. This position offers the opportunity to work with a company that values integrity, professionalism, and employee growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, replace, and upgrade residential plumbing systems and equipment.
- Install water heaters, water softeners, sump pumps, fixtures, piping, and related plumbing components.
- Perform plumbing installations for remodels, renovations, and replacement projects.
- Ensure all work complies with local plumbing codes and company quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all job sites.
- Communicate professionally with homeowners and explain completed work when necessary.
- Inspect completed installations to ensure proper operation and customer satisfaction.
- Accurately complete job documentation, material usage records, and required paperwork.
- Collaborate with team members and management to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.
- Follow all company safety procedures and policies.
Qualifications
- Previous residential plumbing installation experience required.
- Knowledge of residential plumbing systems, materials, and installation practices.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in attics, crawl spaces, and other residential environments.
