Role Description The Child and Family Therapist, School Based, provides direct therapeutic services to children and families within school settings in Brownsburg, IN. This full-time, on-site role includes conducting individual and family therapy sessions, completing psychosocial assessments, and developing treatment plans grounded in evidence-based practices. The therapist collaborates closely with school staff, caregivers, and community partners to support students’ emotional and behavioral health and to coordinate care. Day-to-day responsibilities also involve case management, progress documentation, crisis intervention as needed, and participation in team meetings and clinical supervision to ensure high-quality, integrated services. The role requires maintaining professional, ethical standards and contributing to a positive, trauma-informed environment for students and families.

Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in Play Therapy and Working With Children to provide developmentally appropriate, engaging interventions.
- Background in Social Work and Case Management to coordinate services, advocate for clients, and navigate school and community resources.
- Strong knowledge of Mental Health, including child and adolescent disorders, evidence-based interventions, and trauma-informed care.
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field; appropriate state licensure or license-eligibility (e.g., LCSW, LMHC, LMFT) preferred.
- Ability to build collaborative relationships with children, families, school staff, and multidisciplinary teams, with effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in school-based or pediatric settings is beneficial, along with proficiency in documentation, electronic health records, and time management.
