What are the responsibilities and job description for the Packaging Machine Operator I position at THE WILLAMETTE VALLEY CO LLC?
Summary:
This position requires that employee stand in a central location for long periods of time to operate and maintain machine.
Primary Duties:
- Keep machine running continuously.
- Make all necessary machine changes to accommodate the size of tubes being produced.
- Clean machine daily.
- Stay current and knowledgeable on piping system.
- Trouble-shoot any problems that may arise with the equipment.
- Perform set-up and change over on all filling machines.
- Make sure appropriate materials are in the right machines.
- Research and recommend product improvements
- Ability to demonstrate and learn the following levels
Level 1
- Product Package Assembly
- Blister Seal / Alignment Inspection
- Container Inspection
- Date Code - Batch Number Processing
- Tube/Cartridge QC Inspection
- Scrap Separation & Documentation
- Cardboard Waste Disposal
Non-Essential Duties:
- Maintain clean and safe work space
- Perform miscellaneous duties as requested by supervisor
Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Minimum of six (6) months related experience and / or training in a manufacturing / production environment.
- OR equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job.
