Operations Duty ManagerThe Whitby HotelWe are currently recruiting for an experienced and passionate Operations Duty Manager to join our team at The Whitby Hotel.Working closely with the General Manager and departmental leaders, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the hotel. This is a hands-on, dynamic role requiring ambition, flexibility, and the ability to adapt to a wide range of operational scenarios across Events, Food & Beverage, Front Office, Housekeeping, and the Kitchen.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as a liaison between the General Manager, guests, and the operational teamsOversee daily hotel operations, ensuring exceptional service standards are consistently deliveredMonitor and maintain service quality across all departmentsEnsure the security of the hotel and its guests at all timesConduct regular health and safety checks and ensure complianceHandle and manage incidents or accidents involving guests or staffBuild strong, professional relationships with guestsMeet and greet VIP guests and act as their primary point of contact when requiredProvide operational support to all departments as neededSkills & ExperiencePrevious experience as a Duty Manager or Head of Department within a 5-star hotelExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsExceptional attention to detail with a passion for high standardsStrong leadership and motivational abilitiesResilient, proactive, and solution-focused approachPrevious knowledge of Micros and Opera systems is desirableFSD and CPR/AED certification or experience is desirableWorking HoursThis is a full-time position.
