POSITION PURPOSE
With an exceptional level of hospitality, this position will serve our Bar & Lounge guests by preparing and serving beverages for servers and guests in a personal, instinctive and professional manner. Create an environment for our customers to feel a sense of renewal all while ensuring that we are in accordance with state and local guidelines regarding the responsible service of alcohol. Must be able to operate effectively as part of a team, communicate clearly, and ensure smooth service operations and quality service. The ideal candidate performs all duties in a pleasant, conscientious, fun, energetic and professional manner. Must be of legal age to prepare and serve alcoholic beverages according to State laws.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Maintain a clean bar and service area
- Process payments
- Will take and manage inventory of the bar
- Responsible for selling and serving food; selling, preparing and serving beverages (alcoholic, non alcoholic and coffee)
- Ensure that guests are served in accordance to state and local guidelines regarding the responsible service of alcohol
- Must be hospitable and gracious in all guest and associate interactions
- Oversee bar maintenance
- Responsible for the proper handling of all equipment, i.e., china, glassware, silverware, linen, and props, ensuring proper storage after use
- Responsible for knowing hotel standards of service
- Maintain behind the scenes area for safe and efficient work practices
- Other duties as requested by a supervisor
OTHER
Regular attendance in conformance with the Hotel's standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.
