Job Summary
The Pool Operations Manager is responsible for supervising daily pool and recreation operations, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and service excellence, while also overseeing the food and beverage program for the pool areas. This role supports the Director of Food & Beverage to drive guest satisfaction, maximize revenue opportunities, and deliver consistent service in alignment with Westin standards. The manager provides leadership to pool staff, F&B team members, and vendors, ensuring compliance with safety, service, and financial objectives.

Candidate Profile
Education & Experience
- High school diploma/GED and 3 years of experience in hospitality, food & beverage, recreation, or related field OR
- 2-year degree in Hospitality, Business, Recreation, or related field and 1 years of related experience
Operations & Leadership
- Supervise daily operations of pool facilities, cabanas, and recreation programs, ensuring cleanliness, upkeep, and safety.
- Oversee food & beverage service at pool outlets, including staffing, inventory control, and compliance with health and liquor laws.
- Assign and verify completion of shift duties, ensuring team efficiency and accountability.
- Manage vendor relationships for recreational programs and cabana services.
- Coordinate capital improvement projects (CAPEX) for pool and recreation areas.
- Create and maintain schedules to balance business needs with labor guidelines.
- Actively lead operations on the pool deck and in service areas during peak periods.
- Anticipate guest needs and resolve service issues promptly and professionally.
- Model and reinforce Westin service culture, ensuring high visibility and approachability with guests.
- Coordinate with culinary and stewarding teams to ensure timely, high-quality food and beverage delivery.
- Plan and support group and guest activities, including events, wellness programs, and entertainment offerings.
- Interview, hire, train, and onboard pool and F&B staff.
- Ensure compliance with all safety procedures, health regulations, and labor laws.
- Conduct performance evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary actions as needed.
- Develop and implement training programs to maintain brand and service standards.
- Foster a positive work environment through recognition, team engagement, and clear communication.
- Monitor departmental financial performance and strive to achieve or exceed budget goals.
- Control operational costs through scheduling, inventory, and vendor management.
- Utilize hotel systems (Micros, Lightspeed, OneSource, CI) to drive efficiency.
- Analyze guest feedback and operational data to implement improvements.
