What are the responsibilities and job description for the F&B Busser position at The Westgate Hotel?
We are looking for a Food Runner/Busser to ensure that orders are delivered to guests quickly and accurately. This role coordinates communication between the front-of-house team and kitchen staff, confirms that dishes meet quality and presentation standards, and helps maintain efficient service during busy shifts.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Accomplishing a set list of side work duties in a timely manner
- Responsible for adhering to all State, Federal and local laws as they pertain to the sale and service of food and beverage products
- Responsible for monitoring the actions of guests and staff ensuring proper health and safety standards are met
- Will be available to assist servers by; running food &/or drink orders, expedite food, buss, pre-buss, set & pre-set tables, fill waters, retrieve bread and openly communicate information to the table’s appropriate server
- Works cohesively with other team members and good communicator
- Maintaining specified levels of cleanliness within the outlet including trash removal, vacuuming, and cleaning tables of food
- Will be available to assist servers by; running food &/or drink orders, expedite food, buss, pre-buss, set & pre-set tables, fill waters, retrieve bread and openly communicate information to the table’s appropriate server
- Performs other job-related duties as directed
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around the dining area for extended periods of time (up to 8 hours).
- Ability to lift and carry heavy trays, food, and beverage orders (up to 25 pounds).
- Ability to bend, squat, and reach in order to serve guests and retrieve items from shelves or storage areas.
- Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment with high noise levels.
- Good physical stamina and mobility to efficiently serve a high volume of customers throughout shifts.
