Key Responsibilities
- Safely handle products, materials, and equipment throughout the production process
- Perform production, packaging, labeling, and material handling tasks as assigned
- Inspect products for quality, accuracy, and compliance with company standards
- Record and document production information, weights, or inventory data as required
- Ensure products are correctly packaged, labeled, and placed in appropriate containers
- Report quality, safety, equipment, or production concerns to the supervisor
- Transport products and materials between production areas as needed
- Maintain adequate supplies of packaging and production materials
- Verify product identification, labels, and specifications for Leidy's and private-label products
- Maintain established production rates and productivity standards
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, quality control, and workplace safety procedures
- Assist with housekeeping and maintaining a clean, organized work environment
- Operate equipment and tools safely and efficiently, following established procedures
- Support team members and perform other production-related duties as assigned
- Help ensure compliance with all company policies, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications
- Ability to distinguish between products, private-label products, and specialty pork cuts
- Basic math skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Ability to lift, pull, and push up to 70 pounds
- Operate equipment and work around moving machinery
- Stand for 8 to 10 hours per shift
- Fine motor skills (pinching, gripping, etc.)
- Ability to frequently bend, twist, kneel, reach, stand, walk, and climb
- Ability to work in varying temperature conditions
