Position Summary
The Venue Manager & Event Sales Producer is a hands-on role responsible for coordinating, planning, and executing events at The Wellsley. This position works closely with Sales and Operations along with Culinary and Beverage teams to ensure events are clearly detailed, properly staffed, and executed smoothly onsite. The role supports the sales process through accurate event planning and client communication while maintaining direct responsibility for onsite logistics, timelines, and overall venue readiness.
This role is well-suited for someone who is highly organized, comfortable managing details, and confident being present during live events. The Venue Manager & Event Sales Producer helps bridge planning and execution, ensuring what is sold is well detailed, communicated, and consistently delivered, while upholding service standards and the day-to-day operational flow of the venue.
Core Responsibilities
Event Planning & Onsite Execution
- Oversee the planning and execution of all onsite events at The Wellsley.
- Manage event timelines, room setups, service flow, and breakdowns.
- Serve as the primary onsite point of contact for assigned events.
- Ensure consistent service standards and guest experience throughout events.
Venue Operations & Readiness
- Ensure the venue is clean, organized, and event-ready at all times.
- Coordinate with cleaning, security, trash removal, rentals, AV, and floral partners.
- Monitor venue flow and address issues proactively during events.
Sales & Event Coordination Support
- Support Sales through accurate event detailing and BEO preparation.
- Participate in venue walkthroughs and planning meetings.
- Assist with smaller venue-based event bookings and logistics.
Administrative & Systems Accuracy
- Maintain accurate event records in Caterease.
- Audit BEOs, timelines, and production notes for consistency.
- Support signage, menus, and event materials.
Beverage & Service Standards
- Support onsite beverage operations and bar setup standards.
- Assist with inventory tracking and event depletion logs.
- Partner with leadership to uphold SOPs and service flow.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Provide direction and support to event staff during services.
- Act as a steady onsite leader during events.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure aligned execution.
Qualifications & Skills
- 2 years of experience in venue operations, events, or hospitality management
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Calm, confident presence during live events
- Clear communication and service-oriented mindset
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as required
- Experience with Caterease; Canva or InDesign a plus

- Safely and effectively use all necessary tools, equipment, and cleaning chemicals
- Stand and walk for an entire shift, including moving safely through all areas of the restaurant which may include stairs, uneven, and/or slick surfaces

Salary : $68,000 - $78,000
