We are recruiting a Wealth Advisor on behalf of our client - a growing independent RIA based in McLean, Virginia.
About the Role
This is not a typical advisor seat. You will step into a high-visibility role with a clear runway: transition a retiring advisor's $80M book, work inbound leads, and build your own business - all backed by a full support team so you can stay focused on clients.
Responsibilities

Qualifications
- CFP certification (or advanced designations with CFP in progress)
- 5 years of client-facing wealth management or financial planning experience
Required Skills
- Hands-on financial planning skills - you lead the plan, not just refer it up the chain
- Experience managing client relationships AND developing new business
- eMoney proficiency or comparable planning platform experience
- A long-term mindset and interest in growing with a firm, not just through it
Preferred Skills
- Local candidates in the DC/Maryland/Virginia area are strongly preferred.
Pay range and compensation package
$150,000 - $175,000 base salary (years 1-2) | Significant performance upside | Equity path
The comp structure (after year two)
- Base: 15% of self-generated production (paid semi-monthly)
- Variable: 20% of total production under management (paid monthly)
- Example: $1M self-generated production = $350,000 total comp
