We are seeking a dependable General Construction Laborer to join our construction team. In this role, you will be an integral part of diverse building projects, assisting with various tasks that keep construction sites safe, efficient, and productive. Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation of building materials, including framing, drywall, flooring, tile, and cabinetry.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely to perform tasks such as cutting, drilling, and assembling components.
- Support skilled tradespeople in tasks like plumbing, electrical work, roofing, masonry, and window or glass installation.
- Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to understand project requirements.
- Prepare sites by setting up scaffolding, barricades, or protective coverings; maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Use heavy equipment when necessary for tasks such as concrete forming or material transportation under supervision.
- Assist in demolition, restoration, or remodeling projects by removing debris and preparing surfaces for new installations.
Experience
- Prior construction site experience is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic construction techniques is a plus.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings enhances your ability to contribute effectively.
- Experience with specific skills such as window installation, masonry, roofing, or flooring installation is advantageous.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment or perform specialized tasks like welding or concrete finishing is a bonus but not mandatory.
- Strong safety awareness and adherence to OSHA guidelines are essential for maintaining a secure work environment.
Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
