Overview:
The Webster is Hartford’s premier concert venue, hosting a diverse lineup of live music and events. We’re looking for a skilled and passionate Sound Technician to join our team and ensure top-quality audio experiences for performers and audiences alike.
Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot live sound equipment, including mixing consoles, microphones, amplifiers, and speakers.
- Conduct sound checks and work closely with artists, production teams, and venue staff to achieve the best possible sound.
- Adjust audio levels during performances to maintain clarity and balance.
- Maintain and repair sound equipment as needed.
- Assist with stage setup and breakdown before and after shows.
- Ensure all audio equipment is properly stored and organized.
- Adhere to safety and technical standards for live events.
Skills:
- Previous experience mixing sound for live bands, preferred.
- Basic knowledge of lighting and stage production is a plus.
- Experience in live sound engineering, preferably in a concert or music venue setting.
- Proficiency with digital and analog mixing consoles (Specifically, X32/M32 Consoles).
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of various audio equipment brands and setups.
- Ability to lift and transport heavy equipment.
- Availability for nights, weekends, and flexible hours based on show schedules.
- Ability to work collaboratively and follow instructions within a fast-paced, live performance environment.
