Overview:
The Webster is Hartford’s premier concert venue, hosting a diverse lineup of live music events, concerts, nightlife experiences, and special productions. We’re looking for a skilled and creative Lighting Technician to join our production team and help deliver dynamic live event experiences through professional lighting design and operation.
Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot stage lighting equipment for concerts, club events, and special productions.
- Program and operate lighting consoles during live performances to create engaging visual experiences.
- Coordinate with artists, tour managers, production staff, and venue management to execute lighting needs for each event.
- Conduct lighting checks and cue programming prior to doors and performances.
- Operate moving lights, LED fixtures, strobes, hazers, spotlights, and other production lighting equipment.
- Assist with rigging, stage setup, and production load-ins/load-outs.
- Maintain, organize, and troubleshoot lighting equipment and cabling.
- Ensure lighting systems are operating safely and efficiently during all events.
- Follow all venue safety procedures and technical production standards.
Skills:
- Previous experience operating lighting for live concerts, nightlife, or event productions preferred.
- Experience with DMX-controlled lighting systems and lighting consoles.
- Familiarity with intelligent lighting fixtures, LED walls, haze/fog systems, and stage effects.
- Basic understanding of live audio and stage production is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced live event environment.
- Ability to lift and transport production equipment safely.
- Availability for nights, weekends, holidays, and flexible hours based on event schedules.
- Ability to work collaboratively with touring crews, artists, and venue staff.
- Strong attention to detail, timing, and show execution.
- Safety-conscious mindset with the ability to maintain a professional production environment.
- Passion for live music, concerts, nightlife, and entertainment production.

Pay: $250.00 - $450.00 per day
