Position Summary
The Controller will oversee all financial operations for multiple small business entities, ensuring accurate reporting, sound financial controls, and strategic insight to support decision-making. This role requires a CPA designation and proven small business accounting experience to manage the complexities and nuances of multi-entity operations.

Key Responsibilities
•Oversee day-to-day accounting for multiple small business entities, including AP, AR, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
•Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for each business.
•Maintain and enhance internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures.
•Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis across entities.
•Coordinate and prepare for annual audits and tax filings, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
•Implement and optimize accounting software, tools, and processes for efficiency.
•Provide financial insights and recommendations to ownership and management teams to support strategic decisions.
•Supervise and mentor accounting staff or outsourced bookkeeping teams.
Qualifications
•CPA designation required (active license preferred).
•Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in small business environments.
•Strong understanding of GAAP and tax compliance for small businesses.
•Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Chempax, etc.) and advanced Excel skills.
•Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with owners, managers, and external partners.
•Proven ability to adapt quickly, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a dynamic setting.
