This is a full-time on-site Controller role located in Hattiesburg, MS. As a Controller, you will oversee financial operations, including maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, managing budgets, and overseeing payroll and compliance. You will also lead financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and ensure fiscal accountability across the organization. This role involves collaborating with internal teams as well as external auditors and stakeholders to ensure financial transparency and accuracy.
- Financial Management and Accounting skills, including general ledger maintenance, budgeting, and payroll management
- Experience with financial reporting, reconciliation, and analysis to support informed decision-making
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements for financial operations
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification is a plus
- Previous experience in legal or professional services firms is highly desirable
