Porter / Houseman

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Porter/Houseman to support event operations at a premier event venue. This role plays a key part in delivering a seamless, high-quality guest experience by ensuring all event spaces are properly prepared, maintained, and reset with precision and efficiency.

We are currently hiring for part-time daytime and nighttime porter positions, with flexible scheduling availability based on event needs.

Responsibilities:

· Set up and arrange event equipment with accuracy and attention to detail.

· Prepare ballrooms according to event specifications and standards.

· Break down and reset ballrooms promptly following events.

· Execute room “flips” efficiently between events.

· Assist with ceremony setup and transitions.

· Set up and maintain food stations to presentation standards.

· Support cocktail hour setup and breakdown.

· Set up and break down dessert stations.

· Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the facility.

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to lift and carry 40 pounds regularly.

· Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.

· Ability to bend, stoop, and move equipment as needed.

Dress Code & Professional Standards:

· Ability to adhere to a strict dress code, including:

• o Black non-slip shoes
• o Black work pants
• o Company-provided polo or chef coat (during events)

· Maintain a polished, professional appearance at all times.

· Personal hygiene must be consistently maintained.

Schedule:

· Part-time day and night shifts available.

· Weekend availability required.

· Shifts range from 6 to 12 hours, depending on business needs.

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
