The Warren Center advocates, serves and empowers the children and families impacted by developmental delays and disabilities.

 

Summary

Reporting directly to the Chief Development Officer, the Donor Relations Manager strengthens donor engagement and community relationships to support The Warren Center’s mission. The Donor Relations Manager will focus on relationship building, donor retention, and stewardship of gifts under $1,000, while serving as an ambassador in the community through chamber and networking events. The role also oversees The Parade (monthly donor program), the Young Professionals group, and corporate volunteer initiatives.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily.

 

Relationship Management and Solicitation:

  • Represent The Warren Center at community, chamber, and networking events to expand visibility and cultivate relationships
  • Manage and steward a book of business donors giving up to $1,000 annually with a focus on renewal, upgrade, and engagement
  • Lead The Parade monthly giving program including acquisition, stewardship, and recognition of members
  • Oversee and grow the Young Professionals group, managing recruitment, events, and volunteer opportunities
  • Coordinate and steward corporate volunteer projects and workplace giving partnerships
  • Serve as staff liaison for assigned committees and volunteer leaders
  • Collaborate with Development and Marketing to ensure donor communications align with mission and brand voice
  • Maintain accurate records of donor interactions, event attendance, and follow-up in donor database
  • Participate in donor strategy meetings, weekly development team meetings, and quarterly board development reports

 

Performance Metrics:

  • Maintain a 75% or higher annual donor retention rate for portfolio donors under $1,000
  • Grow The Parade monthly donor program by 20% annually (new members and retained participants)
  • Conduct a minimum of 10 donor or community touchpoints per week (calls, emails, meetings, or events)
  • Secure at least 25 new YP members annually and coordinate 4 YP engagement events per year
  • Generate quarterly reports on donor retention, YP engagement, and corporate volunteer impact

 

Reporting Expectations:

  • Monthly report to CDO summarizing donor visits, new prospects, and engagement activities
  • Quarterly update for Development Committee and Board on YP, Parade, and volunteer engagement
  • Annual self-assessment with review of KPIs and growth goals for donor portfolio
  • Accurate and timely entry of all donor activity into donor database for monthly database audits
  • Managing the creation, submission, and monitoring of gift invoices by producing invoices upon request and entering information needed to ensure timely management into the donor database system 
  • Assisting in developing and executing an actively managed program for matching gifts by identifying potential recipients, increasing data viability, communicating the benefits, acknowledging receipt, promoting the program, and reporting on activity

 

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent in nonprofit management, communications, business, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a sales role, client or donor relations, fundraising, and/or community engagement
  • Proficiency in CRM software (The Warren Center utilizes Bloomerang)

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive, and Teams

Salary : $60,000 - $65,000
