The Waldinger Corporation has an opportunity for a qualified Helper in our Fort Wayne, Indiana Office.

Job Summary

Plays a vital role in supporting skilled workers and ensuring the construction site operates efficiently and safely. Responsible for maintaining workflow and contributing to the overall success of the project.

Responsibilities

• Material Handling Assistance: Helps with transporting, loading, and unloading materials (such as cement, lumber, tools, and equipment) to and from the construction site, ensuring materials are placed in the proper areas.
• Construction Workers Support: Provides assistance to skilled tradespeople (e.g., carpenters, electricians, plumbers) by handing them tools, holding materials, or performing basic tasks under their supervision to help keep the project moving.
• Job Site Cleaning and Maintenance: Keeps the construction site clean and organized by removing debris, cleaning tools, and disposing of waste materials. Ensures that the site remains safe and free from hazards.
• Equipment Set Up: Helps set up scaffolding, ladders, and other equipment needed for the project.
• Basic Construction Task Assistance: Performs simple tasks such as mixing concrete, digging trenches, or carrying out basic repairs or adjustments to ensure the smooth progression of the project.
  
  

Requirements

• 0-2 years of field or trade experience
• High School Diploma/GED
• Moderate Travel
