Construction Estimator

Description

The Waldinger Corporation has an opportunity for a qualified Construction Estimator in our Omaha, NE Office.

Job Summary

Conducts high-level estimation and leads bidding process for large and/or complex construction projects

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Estimating: Prepares and assembles estimates within the department. Delegates estimating duties to engineers as required to maintain the bid schedule.
• Database Management: Maintains database of project history and results. Ensures accuracy and integrity of system software, providing all users with updated information.
• Procedures: Develops conceptual plan and specification bid procedures and standards to improve consistency and efficiency of the estimating process.
• Client Bid Management: Develops successful client relationships, marketing company products and services. Solicits bid schedules from general contractors.
• Mentorship: Develops team members to perform at a high level through accurate coaching and guidance.
• Additional Responsibilities: Performs other duties as assigned
  
  

Requirements

• Job Related Experience: 3-5 years of experience in estimating complex construction projects
• Education: Associate's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management or Technical Training Program Completion or equivalent experience
• Certification: None
• Physical Demands: Sedentary
• Travel Requirements: No Travel
