Food Service Manager – Assisted Living Facility

10am-6pm Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Overview

Join our team as a Food Service Manager and help create a safe, clean, and positive dining experience for our residents. We’re looking for someone dependable, organized, and experienced in kitchen operations, especially in healthcare or assisted living settings.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all kitchen and dietary operations
• Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment
• Ensure safe food handling and timely meal service
• Follow menus and dietary modification sheets
• Manage inventory and place food and milk orders
• Monitor refrigerator and freezer temperatures
• Maintain accurate resident diet rosters
• Support and guide dietary staff
• Communicate with the Administrator and care team
• Meet federal and state health department standards and codes for proper food storage, handling, and preparation

Qualifications:

• Experience in food service management (assisted living or healthcare preferred)
• Knowledge of DOH regulations and safe food handling, Food Handlers Certificate
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Reliable, team-oriented, and hands-on leader
• High school diploma/GED required
