JOB SUMMARY
Ensuring internal and external customer expectations of turn-around and quality are met in a fast-paced digital print environment.
Location: Benton Harbor, MI (Onsite)
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Quality Control - # of rejected pieces
- Efficiency - # of pieces completed per hour
- Preparing or creating electronic art files
- Ensuring the digital art and graphic elements are complete, consistent, and compatible with the prepress & RIP processes. Reads order to verify processes required, quantity to be run, and substrate to be used
- Creating layout for customer approval and coordination of job package for production
- Ripping files for digital print on large / grand format printers
- Creating and reviewing proofs and monitoring quality during production
- Performing color calibrations, daily equipment maintenance and restocking
- Performing basic color management tasks and operating digital presses to expected production standards
- Maintaining assigned documentation and schedules
- Regular attendance and the ability to work overtime on short notice. Input labor hours into Pace time keeping system.
- Accurately enters time and job information into the Pace Collection System
- Operate standard office equipment including copy machine.
- Use safety equipment and protective clothing as directed: i.e., steel-toed shoes, back support device when working at your workstation or lifting, moving, or pushing objects, safety glasses when necessary.
- Carries out conduct in accordance with all company policies, procedures, safety and applicable laws.
- Performing any other duties assigned by supervisor or management.
