Role Overview
Responsible for operating radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic images, including routine, portable, operating room, and fluoroscopic exams. Provides guidance to lower-level Technologists and students, positions patients, adjusts equipment, and explains procedures to ensure high-quality images while minimizing radiation exposure. Performs patient care activities, monitors patient status, and educates patients and families to reduce anxiety. Sets up procedure rooms, manages equipment, and ensures safety protocols are followed. Documents procedures accurately in radiology systems to support billing and quality improvement efforts. Operates equipment safely, troubleshoots issues, and maintains cleanliness and stock levels in the radiology department.

Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program and ARRT registration required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Minimum of one year of relevant experience.
- Strong communication skills, attention to safety, and ability to work with diverse patient populations.
- Physical ability to handle equipment and perform lifting and standing tasks.
- Knowledge of radiation safety and equipment operation essential.
- Operate radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic images.
- Position patients and adjust equipment for optimal imaging.
- Maintain safety standards to protect staff and patients from radiation.
- Assist in training staff and students.
