Role: Outpatient RN CAP 2, an entry-level or advancement position in the Clinical Advancement Program, provides comprehensive care for dialysis patients, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
Responsibilities: Perform patient data collection, adjust treatment plans, educate patients and families, administer medications, assist in emergencies, delegate tasks, ensure laboratory procedures, and participate in quality improvement activities. Serve as a leader, mentor, and preceptor, supporting team members and maintaining compliance with policies and regulations.
Qualifications & Skills: Graduate of an accredited nursing school, current state licensure, CPR/BLS certification, minimum 2 years of nephrology nursing experience, and successful completion of required training. Physical demands include patient lifting, prolonged standing, and movement of equipment.
Supervision & Environment: May oversee Patient Care Technicians, LVNs, or LPNs after meeting experience and training criteria. Work environment involves direct patient care in a healthcare facility, with exposure to infectious materials and physical demands typical of clinical settings.
