What are the responsibilities and job description for the Acute Dialysis Registered Nurse - RN - Float position at The VIOS Clinic?
Role: Provides direct inpatient nursing care across various renal therapy modalities, including hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, CRRT, and Apheresis.
Responsibilities: Assesses and adjusts treatment plans, collaborates with healthcare teams, supervises staff, and ensures safe, effective, and timely patient care. Maintains documentation, prepares equipment, conducts safety tests, and manages treatment-related procedures. Acts as a subject matter expert and participates in training, meetings, and quality activities. Reports incidents and assists with projects as needed.
Qualifications & Skills: Current state licensure, RN experience with at least 6 months in nephrology, strong assessment skills, and CPR certification. Leadership ability, organization, and ongoing nephrology education are essential. ICU experience is preferred.
Work Environment: Involves direct patient care, travel between facilities, on-call duties, and exposure to infectious materials. Requires physical effort including lifting and moving heavy equipment and patients. Reasonable accommodations are available for disabilities.
