Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas including floors, restrooms, offices, and common spaces as well as private apartments using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies.
- Conduct janitorial tasks such as trash removal, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces to uphold hygiene standards.
- Carry out floor care procedures including buffing, polishing, stripping, and waxing to maintain a professional appearance.
- Assist with industrial cleaning projects and facilities maintenance tasks as needed to support overall building operations.
- Support custodial activities related to commercial and residential cleaning projects with attention to detail and safety protocols.
- Maintain cleaning equipment by performing routine checks and reporting repairs or replacements promptly.
- Follow safety guidelines during all cleaning activities to ensure a secure work environment for yourself and others.
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services with a strong understanding of proper cleaning techniques.
- Knowledge of floor care procedures such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing.
- Ability to operate cleaning machinery including vacuums, buffers, extractors, and other custodial equipment safely.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning methods and facilities maintenance practices.
- Experience in residential painting or general maintenance is a plus for supporting facility upkeep projects.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
