The Village Club of Sands Point is a 210-acre country club located on the Port Washington peninsula. The Club is a source of enjoyment for 900 families with boastful amenities.
We are looking to have a Part-Time Human Resources Coordinator/Accounting Assistant to join our team.
Details of this position are below:
Hours 16-20
This position will be a vital part of the accounting and administrative department providing direct support to the Accounting Manager (Director of Finance). The ideal candidate should have experience in the Human Resources field and will assist in the daily tasks of the department.
Responsibilities will be as follows:
People Operations:
-The assistance of recruitment and posting of open positions within the organization.
-Coordination with department heads to load schedules of employees ensuring proper coding of employees working in multiple departments as well as ensure the information is valid and correct for employees.
-Annual compliance with state/federal posting and required insurance certificates.
- Administering background testing of potential candidates and testing of safety sensitive positions
-The onboarding of all rehired/new employees as well as assistance in conducting orientation programs and federal/state mandated trainings.
-Assistance with seasonal termination from HRIS
- Conduct management company’s service training as necessary to ensure all employees are trained with the customer service techniques that support management company’s model.
-Assistance in ensuring I-9 compliance of all employees (new and existing)
-Assistance with the maintenance and filing of all personnel files. Including annual forms, documentation and other pertinent information
-Support with updating and maintaining Club’s policy manual
-Timely review with Accounting Manager (Director of Finance) to review and file potential workers’ comp claims. Follow up on all state regulated forms as requested.
-Assist and recommend ideas to support employee wellness programs
General Tasks:
-Clerical duties such as answering phones, copying, filing and other requests as requested by the Accounting Manager (Director of Finance).
-Preparation of bank deposit and coordination of courier service.
-Data entry of accounting information as requested.
-Assistance to Accounting Manager (Director of Finance) in special projects.
-Assist other departments with tasks as requested by Accounting Manager (Director of Finance)
