Job Description
You will use different forms of recreation as a therapeutic tool to meet physical, emotional, social, psychological and spiritual needs of residents in accordance with the over-all plan of care. Is a member of the Therapeutic Recreation Department team and fulfils the duties required by that Department. Carries out nursing home policies and government regulations as required. You will follow the direction of the Therapeutic Recreation Director.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates will have:
• Practical knowledge of a variety of client populations
• Education and / or experience in geriatrics and long term care
• Knowledge and / or experience in documentation
• Understand various Theories and Techniques ( Validation Therapy, Sensory, Stimulation, Redirection)
• Must be flexible, creative, enthusiastic, and demonstrate much incentive and motivation.
• Proficient in computer usage.
• Able to complete MDS, Care Plans, Progress notes, and initial activities assessment.
Additional Information
