The Vernon Company is seeking a creative, data-driven Digital Content Specialist to join our Marketing team. This role is responsible for developing and executing cross-channel content strategies across websites, email marketing, social media, and digital advertising platforms. The ideal candidate combines strong content creation skills with digital marketing expertise to drive lead generation, increase brand awareness, enhance customer engagement, and support e-commerce growth.
Reporting directly to the Director of Marketing, the Digital Content Specialist will play a key role in ensuring consistent brand messaging while leveraging analytics and SEO best practices to maximize content performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, optimize, and manage content for websites, social media, email campaigns, and other digital channels.
- Manage and maintain social media platforms, fostering engagement and strengthening brand presence.
- Create SEO-optimized content to improve search visibility and drive traffic.
- Plan, execute, and monitor digital advertising campaigns, including paid search, display advertising, and social media promotions.
- Analyze website, email, and social media performance metrics and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Manage content calendars and ensure timely delivery of marketing initiatives.
- Assist with multimedia content creation, including graphics, video, and interactive content.
- Ensure brand consistency across all digital touchpoints regarding tone, style, and messaging.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and the marketing team on content and campaign strategies.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Content Creation, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in digital content creation, digital marketing, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of SEO, content marketing, and social media strategies.
- Knowledge of digital advertising and paid media campaigns.
- Understanding of HTML, CSS, and motion graphics.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Strong creativity and presentation skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail.
Preferred
- Experience with graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva.
- Video editing experience.
- Experience with Google Analytics or similar analytics platforms.
- Experience working with content management systems (CMS), such as WordPress.
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms such as Salesforce Account Engagement, HubSpot, or similar tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
