Are you detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about retail? Step behind the scenes and play a key role in bringing our products to life in our stores, catalogs, and online. The Vermont Country Store is seeking a Sourcing Assistant to support our Senior Sourcing Manager by maintaining and building strong vendor relationships, handling administrative tasks related to cost negotiations, seasonal pricing reviews and tariff-related impacts. This role ensures product pricing details are accurate and complete, helping us deliver an exceptional experience to our customers.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist the Senior Sourcing Manager in executing company sourcing goals.
- Assist in working with vendors on costs to meet margin goals, manage cost agreements, and help conduct seasonal pricing reviews with Product Teams.
- Partner with internal departments to maintain and update accurate cost, retail and margin data.
- Communicate with suppliers to resolve issues and clarify requirements.
- Help ensure products meet company quality standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing vendors and help develop new vendor relationships.
- Provide day-to-day administrative support including meeting coordination, note-taking, and data entry.
- Serve as the department’s point person when the Senior Sourcing Manager is unavailable.
