Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Support the People & Business Success (PBS) Business Partners and Managers with the administrative preparation of Due Process Meetings, Peer Reviews, Sensitivity Training, Grievance files, legal files, investigative files, interviews, and other administrative tasks to resolve all matters in a timely fashion.
- Assist PBS Business Partners and Managers with preparing and sending contact letters, managing special projects (e.g., partnering with HR Leaders for department safety, documenting key metrics for community events), and updating key processes such as the Clearance Process.
- Schedules grievance meetings and assembles files for meetings.
- Review counseling and performance paperwork and own the data entry of employee work actions into SuccessFactors.
- Review and respond to unemployment claims and represent The Venetian during unemployment hearings.
- Assist with verbal and/or written translations as needed.
- Serve as back-up for the People Operations reception area by greeting and screening Team Members to determine their questions or concerns.
- Open, review, and close files to ensure all necessary documentation is accurate and complete.
- Address basic questions or issues with Team Members and properly escalate more complex situations.
- Initiate the Gaming Control Board license process for Team Members by ensuring proper payment and completion of the application.
- Conduct basic Due Process Meetings, prepare detailed summaries of investigations, and provide recommendations to HR leadership and Department management.
- Maintain highly confidential hotel, policy, and team member information.
- Support team member events and adhere to the Company's status quo third-party representation philosophy, complying with Company policies and legal requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

- 21 years of age.
- Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Nevada Gaming Control Board registration and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy.
- 1-3 years of human resources experience, with an emphasis on employee relations in a fast-paced industry, such as hospitality or retail.
- Must have basic knowledge of Employee/Labor Relations, Worker’s Compensation, Title VII, EEOC, ADA, FMLA, HIPAA, COBRA, Wage and Hour, and Unemployment Law.
- Bi-lingual in English/Spanish, both in written and spoken form is preferred.
- Strong technical and computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and excellent follow-up skills.
- Ability to quickly build trust, gain credibility, and partner with leaders and peers.
- Ability to effectively manage change, handle sensitive and confidential situations, and achieve results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities and deadlines.
- Manage time effectively, prioritizing work according to value-add and risk level.
