What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT or RVS) position at The Vein Company?
The Vein Company is a medical practice specializing in the treatment of venous and lymphatic disease. We are currently seeking a qualified Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) to support the clinics in the Tri-Cities (Kingsport, Johnson City, and Abingdon). Alternatively, we would consider the right candidate who is committed to obtaining the RVT or RVS credential within the first year of employment. Educational Requirements:
- Certificate of Completion from an accredited Ultrasound Program
- Associate or Bachelor in vascular ultrasound is preferred
- Registered as a Vascular Technologist (RVT) or Vascular Specialist (RVS) or committed to obtain within first year of employment
Qualifications and Experience:
- At least 2 years of experience in vascular ultrasound, performing venous reflux exams preferred but not necessary. We will provide extensive training.
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Experience providing warm customer service and dealing with conflict
- Strong team player with a patient-centric focus
Essential duties & Responsibilities including but not limited to:
- Greet patients and escort them to the exam room
- Educate the patients on all aspects of venous disease
- Perform non-invasive Reflux testing independently; deep venous systems evaluation
- Extensive knowledge of DVT and venous insufficiency exam preferred
- Maintain ultrasound equipment and supplies by cleaning and adjusting equipment; troubleshooting problems; performing preventive maintenance; reporting equipment malfunctions; keeping rooms clean, sanitize and organize at all times
- Provide excellent patient care

- Maintains patient confidentiality; complies with HIPPA and compliance guidelines established by the practice
- Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations
- Other duties as delegated by the team lead and/or physician
Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
