Vault is seeking an experienced Executive Sous Chef to work alongside our Executive Chef in one of Arkansas' premier independent restaurants.
This is more than a management position—it's an opportunity to help shape the culinary direction of the restaurant while developing the next generation of cooks.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the Executive Chef to execute the culinary vision of Vault
- Contribute creative ideas, menu development, and seasonal features
- Lead daily kitchen operations with professionalism and consistency
- Mentor, coach, and develop the culinary team
- Ensure quality, consistency, and execution during service
- Assist with ordering, inventory, food cost management, and scheduling
- Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and food safety
- Foster a positive, accountable, and collaborative kitchen culture
Qualifications
- Several years of progressive leadership experience in high-quality restaurants
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Passion for creativity while respecting disciplined execution
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
- High standards and attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm and lead during busy services
