The VA Claims Lawyer LLC is a rapidly growing and highly sought out law firm looking for a detail-oriented, growth-minded Case Manager to join our on-site team in Pensacola. You will work closely with our legal team, leveraging our 27 years of experience to help navigate veterans through the claims and appeals process.
What You’ll Learn & Do
- System Mastery: Receive hands-on training to navigate the VA disability benefits system and internal case management software.
- File Management: Master the art of gathering, organizing, and tracking medical and military service records for veteran clients.
- Client Advocacy: Serve as a primary point of contact, providing empathetic and clear updates to veterans and their families.
- Deadline Management: Ensure all filings, evidence submissions, and appeals are tracked and submitted within strict federal windows.
- Administrative Support: Assist attorneys in preparing case files for hearings and drafting foundational correspondence.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Associate’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience in an office/professional setting.
- Experience: Prior legal experience 1-2 years preferred, proficient in medical terminology, with an ability to review and understand medical documentation.
- Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook), Adobe Acrobat, and a quick ability to learn new software.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written skills; you must be comfortable speaking with veterans daily, and an ability to identify and relay process improvement ideas.
