Under direct supervision, assists physicians and clinicians with patient care duties in a clinical environment. Promotes efficient patient flow and patient care, i.e. exams, and procedures. Performs clinic support tasks including miscellaneous clerical tasks, answering phones, and maintaining physician's schedule. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Duties :
Escort patients to and from exam rooms, physician offices, and treatment room as appropriate.
- Provide collaborative nursing support.
- Maintain efficient patient flow.
- Assists physicians with exams and procedures as requested.
- Administer appropriate injections .
- Take vitals. (prepare patients for examinations, perform EKG)
Maintaining medical supply inventory
Cleaning and stocking exam rooms
Qualifications
Qualifications :
High School degree or GED
2 years experience as a Medical Assistant (3 years' experience)
CPR Certification required same as BLS
Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)
Phlebotomy skills highly desired
Oncology experience preferred
