Core Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Operational Excellence
- Execute the Vision: Oversee all work orders from inception to completion, ensuring total customer satisfaction and project profitability.
- Standards of Excellence: Manage projects to ensure all scopes are completed per industry standards (ANSI and OSHA), acting as the final word on quality and safety.
- Technical Guidance: Line-out foremen at the shop or on-site, serving as the primary point of contact and technical advisor while work is being performed.
- Strategic Estimation: Partner closely with the Sales team to produce timely, accurate, and expert-led estimates that account for equipment needs, site restrictions, and risk assessment.
- Live the Virtues: Embody our core values of Charity, Fortitude, and Humility in every interaction with crews, clients, and management.
- Build Camaraderie: Foster a culture of respect and confidence within your teams, participating actively in "Team Pulse" and "Wheel of Life" sessions.
- Bridge the Gap: Maintain weekly communication with the Head of Arbor to ensure all field activities remain perfectly aligned with company goals and Christian principles.
- Manager of Self: Demonstrate exceptional time management, managing multiple projects and deadlines with minimal supervision and high attention to detail.
- Lifelong Learning: Engage in continual coaching and professional development as directed by leadership to stay at the forefront of arboricultural science.
- Stewardship: Comply with all company procedures, safety policies, and the maintenance of a driver's license in good standing.
- Professional Representation: Represent The Urban Foresters in a positive, professional, and principled manner during all site visits and client meetings.
- Responsive Partnership: Respond to sales leads within 24 hours, ensuring that our clients feel heard, valued, and respected.
- Feedback Loop: Actively communicate client feedback and project updates to the Head of Arbor to ensure a seamless experience from start to finish.
- Project Mastery: Efficiently manage jobs to ensure target profitability, safety compliance, and "Urban Forester" grade quality.
- Responsive Estimating: Provide timely and accurate bids in collaboration with the sales team to maintain a healthy project pipeline.
- Cultural Integration: Engage clients and teammates with demonstrable Charity, Fortitude, and Humility.
- Personal Growth: Active participation in professional development plans and consistent engagement in company coaching.
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) OR a minimum of 2 years of hands-on arboricultural experience.
- Technical Expertise: Certified Arborist (preferred) with a deep comfort level working in diverse outdoor settings.
- Linguistic Ability: Proficiency in both English and Spanish is required to effectively lead and communicate with our diverse teams.
- Operational Discipline: Excellent computer, analytical, and time-management skills; a self-starter who thrives with minimal supervision.
- Character: A person of high integrity who leads by example and upholds values-based leadership.
