The Project Lead is responsible for the end-to-end management of complex store development and distribution center projects, with a strong focus on planning, coordination, risk management and stakeholder alignment.
The role combines project leadership, construction coordination and logistics oversight within an international and project-driven environment. The Project Lead provides governance and direction; detailed freight execution is performed by the Freight Operations Coordinator (International). The Project Lead works in close collaboration with the Freight Operations Coordinator (International), who is responsible for detailed freight execution.
Responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Project Master Data Setup; e.g. the setup of projects, parties and articles.
- Managing project milestones in relevant systems; holding internal and external stakeholders accountable for timely task execution.
- Be able to read and interpret design drawings and site layouts to:
- Identify dimensions, weights, volumes, and complexity of cargo
- Assess handling, transport, lifting, and on-site positioning requirements
- Translate drawings into realistic logistics and site delivery plans
- Forecast and plan long-lead items, ensuring alignment between procurement timelines, shipping schedules, and site readiness.
- Maintain ownership of project budgets, monitor costs and margins, and support corrective actions when needed.
- Create and maintain Project KPI dashboard and evaluate with key stakeholders.
- Supports the alignment between project execution and commercial outcomes, ensuring the successful delivery of value-added solutions that strengthen client partnerships.
- Serve as primary point of contact for project management-related issues on all assigned projects between suppliers, site supervisors, carriers, and other stakeholders.
- Effectively monitoring and coordinating all shipments of the project.
- Assigning the suitable carriers in TRACT TMS and follow up with the execution of the shipment with the carrier.
- Create commercial shipping documents within TRACT to support customs export/ import activities.
- Support continuous improvement by identifying structural issues, process enhancements and lessons learned across projects.
- Perform simple analysis as required on performance metrics, costs, and other areas as required to improve best practices.

Qualifications:
This is a mid-level, fast paced, project management position.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have a broad understanding and experience in operational task, system knowledge and project management and have a logistics background.
Educational level:
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Construction Management or equivalent preferred
PRINCE2 and/or PMP certification preferred
Experience
4-5 years professional work experience preferred
1-2 years international experience desired
2-3 years of project management experience strongly preferred.
