UPS Store Manager

Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Store Manager to lead our UPS Store. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive retail management experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves overseeing daily store activities, managing staff, and ensuring the store meets its sales and operational goals. The Store Manager will play a key role in maintaining a positive shopping environment, optimizing inventory control, and implementing effective merchandising strategies to drive business growth.

Duties

• Lead and supervise store staff, including hiring, training, and developing team members to ensure high performance and excellent customer service.
• Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, POS transactions, and shift management.
• Manage inventory levels through effective purchasing, stock replenishment, and inventory control to minimize shrinkage and maximize sales.
• Implement merchandising plans to enhance product presentation and optimize sales opportunities.
• Develop and execute marketing strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
• Conduct regular employee orientation sessions, performance evaluations, and training & development programs to foster a motivated team environment.
• Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure overall customer satisfaction.
• Manage administrative tasks such as bookkeeping, payroll processing, budgeting, and sales reporting.
• Utilize strong communication skills for effective team management and customer engagement.
• Maintain organizational standards for cleanliness, safety protocols, and compliance with company policies.
• Use management tools such as inventory management systems, wireless sales platforms, and POS systems to streamline operations.

Experience

• Proven management experience in retail, shipping and packaging environments with supervisory responsibilities.
• Demonstrated success in sales management, team leadership, and customer service excellence.
• Experience with employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, payroll administration, bookkeeping, inventory management, merchandising, and marketing strategies.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting.
• Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases.
• Familiarity with retail math—including pricing strategies—and retail sales techniques is essential.
• Previous assistant manager or supervisory experience is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of POS systems, cash handling procedures, inventory control practices, and store merchandising is required. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated leader to manage a thriving retail operation while fostering a positive environment for both staff and customers.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in THE UPS STORE retail sales
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage with diverse customers
• Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering, retail math, and stock management
• Demonstrated ability to upsell products and perform product demos effectively
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Basic math skills necessary for transactions and inventory management

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
