Duties
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly and assisting with their shipping, mailing, printing, and retail product inquiries
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash register operations, including cash handling, balancing the cash drawer, and processing payments with precision
- Promote store products through upselling and product demos to maximize sales opportunities
- Stock shelves, merchandise displays, and ensure the store is clean, organized, and well-maintained
- Assist with inventory management by stocking supplies and conducting stock checks regularly
- Maintain professional phone etiquette when answering inquiries or providing support to customers over the phone
- Support store supervision by supervising team members during shifts when needed and ensuring excellent customer experiences
Experience
- Previous retail sales or grocery store experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential
- Supervising experience is a plus for candidates interested in leadership opportunities
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math enhances your effectiveness in this role
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are highly valued for serving diverse customer bases
