Northampton - Part-Time UPS Store Associate

Center Associate / Sales Associate
$17–$19/hour | Part-time 15-20hrs per week (weekends required - open 7 days a week)

We are a locally owned and operated business that values relationships with our neighbors and provides essential shipping, professional printing, notary, and mailbox services to the Northampton community. We are looking for a reliable, tech-savvy team member who enjoys problem-solving and wants to be part of a supportive, close-knit team.

The Role
As a Center Associate / Sales Associate, you are more than a cashier; you are a consultant, an advisor, a problem solver, and a provider of solutions. You will help customers with shipping logistics, professional print projects, packaging needs, and confidential document services while delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, professional service to walk-in customers and telephone/email inquiries.
• Pack fragile and delicate items and process shipments using shipping software.
• Operate point-of-sale systems, copiers, printers, and finishing equipment such as binding and laminating.
• Manage mailbox mail and packages and maintain a clean, organized store environment.
• Complete required training, stay current on sales and promotions, and follow payment and security procedures.
• Process merchandise returns and exchanges, including Amazon and Happy Returns.
• Assist with crating, palletizing, inventory, merchandising, supply ordering, and daily store maintenance.
• Cross-sell and up-sell services to help customers choose the best shipping or print solution.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new software quickly
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong spelling and math accuracy.
• Ability to stand for a shift and lift up to 50 lbs. frequently.
• Strong work ethic, a passion for sales, and comfort working with hands-on packaging tasks.

Notary Requirement

• Must become a Notary Public within 60 days of hire (required).
• All application fees, training, and certification costs are fully paid by the store.
